DAUGHTERS OF JERUSALEM FUND

  • Facebook

But Jesus, turning unto them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. (LUKE 28:23)

WHO WE ARE

The Daughters of Jerusalem fund was launched to support those who came to the Church with open and dedicated hearts, who joined the religious service in sincere vocation to the Love of God and His thirst for souls, but instead met horrendous religious, domestic and sexual abuse. This abuse destroyed their vocations and lives.

GOALS

Daughters of Jerusalem aims to promote responsibility, accountability and repair the culture within the Church by means of public education, support of abuse survivors and advocacy for the rights of women and LGBTQIA persons.

What  can I do?

Are you a practicing Catholic? Join Daughters of Jerusalem in your parish or start a chapter. Request a Saturday Mass to be dedicated to those whose vocation was broken due to sexual abuse in the Church. (Inform us here!)

Are you a feminist or queer activist? Invite us to talk with your women and LGBTQIA community about religious abuse by religious orders, and the rights of women and queer persons in religious communities. (contact us here)

Tikun Olam program

Are you a project manager, psychosocial expert, psychologist, social worker, or an instructor? Volunteer for our new peer-to-peer mentorship program, and offer support to sisters who left religious service due to abuse.
